misc.writing ("m.w") is a Usenet newsgroup, chartered in 1991 to provide a forum for discussion of writing in all its forms -- scholarly, technical, journalistic, artistic and mere day-to-day communication. m.w was chartered as a venue for professional writers, would-be professionals and all those who write to communicate.
